Teaching is rewarding and hard work. Outschool empowers educators to do what they love while having total control over workload and pay.
"As a former classroom teacher, Outschool allows me to focus on what I love about teaching – connecting with learners, inspiring a love of learning and helping my students learn new skills – while eliminating the burn out caused by endless lesson planning, long commutes and large class sizes. Teaching on Outschool is truly a dream job!"
Jamie Gajewski, Brisbane, QLD
"Outschool has given me the opportunity to work wherever I call home and manage a growing, online teaching business! I love how I’m able to run my business while spending more time with my family, following my passions & hobbies and continue travelling!"
Rachelle Ardle, Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
"Outschool has given me the opportunity to make my research interest in online learning come alive! I am able to use my background in applied linguistics to teach English. In addition, Outschool also allows me to teach my hobby - organisational skills - as a life skills subject! I enjoy teaching on Outschool because I am able to interact with a global audience of 5-15 year olds from the comfort of my home in Sydney, Australia."
Nat Ari, Sydney, Australia
Outschool does not require formal teaching qualifications. We believe that many adults can offer rewarding classes based on their experience and interests. We require enhanced criminal background checks and a class approval process. Teachers must be residents of the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Wales or England.

We do our best to simplify the logistics, so you can focus on crafting the class experience.
Our learners are between the ages 3 and 18 and come from all over the world! We celebrate their diversity. For example, within one class, you may have a learner from your home country, a home educated learner from the US and a learner from Asia who is learning English as a second language.
We encourage you to teach topics you are passionate about and experienced with, and ideally that you have taught before. We welcome classes on all subjects and in all formats. We generally encourage a balanced mix. For example, you might offer an ongoing, weekly class and a one-time introductory class or a 4-week curricular class.
